Frequently asked questions
Is the document final as it is?
It comes out formatted with its headings, equations and sources — but it is an advanced draft, not a final text. Read it and edit what's needed before you use it. You own the document and you are responsible for its content.
Can I format my own content instead of generating new content?
Yes — that's the “Composed document”. You put your text in as it is and it comes out as a formatted document, without your words being changed or added to. Formatting, not writing.
Are the sources real?
Yes. They are fetched from open academic indexes such as OpenAlex and Crossref, and are not made up. Even so, check them before relying on them in work that will be graded.
Are the equations images or text?
Real text inside Word — click an equation to edit it, and it stays sharp when printed at any size.
Does it work on phone and computer?
Both. In the browser on any computer or phone, and an Android app is coming soon to Google Play. The account and the balance are the same.
How do I pay?
From the plans screen in the app, through a secure payment gateway that accepts wallets and cards. Your card details never pass through our servers.
Will I be charged anything after I buy?
No. Each paid plan unlocks its features for one month, with no automatic renewal and no recurring charge — if you want to continue, you buy a new plan yourself. Your points balance does not expire when the month ends.
Can I get my money back?
Yes, in full within 3 days of purchase as long as you haven't used any of the plan's balance, and also for any wrong charge or a fault on our side. The details are in the refund policy.
What if my balance runs out mid-month?
Usage is counted by the actual work, not by a fixed number, so larger documents use more. If your balance runs out, renew your plan or move up to a higher one, and what's left carries over with you.
Are my documents used to train systems?
We do not train any model on your conversations or documents, and we don't sell them or use them for marketing. To generate a reply, your text is sent to the AI provider that answers it, and that provider's processing is governed by its own terms — details in the privacy policy.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from “Settings → Delete account” in the app. Your account and the data linked to it are deleted.
Is this accepted at my university or workplace?
Each institution's rules are its own, and you are responsible for following them. Verdak is a tool for producing drafts, and using it against your institution's rules is your responsibility alone.
